iOS 9 leadAt WWDC 2016, Apple quietly announced a key feature within the newly unveiled iOS 10.  You can now finally remove the stock Apple apps from your homescreen.  So no more putting all of the apps you don’t use in a folder…or is it?  (Spoiler alert: no)

It has been revealed that you can’t remove the apps in actuality.  You can remove the icon, user data, and the behind-the-scenes processes but the apps themselves take up less than 150MB altogether.  So it kind of sounds like how the Nextbit Robin handles app removal – more or less.   Maybe one day they will actually get rid of the damn 16GB storage of iPhones but one can dream.

So no, you can’t ditch the app data so that’s probably why Apple never made it a big deal in regards to announcing it at WWDC.  So, there that go.

Below, is the list of Apple apps that you can ‘delete’.
