Earlier today, Microsoft announced the launch date for their new powerful & slimmer gaming console w/ the Xbox One S.  The new console is 40% smaller, adds 4K/HDR video support (but not for gaming, though), a new wireless controller w/ a textured grip + Bluetooth support, and an added IR blaster.

It is set to arrive on August 2nd and will arrive in the 2TB launch edition for $399 as the other storage sizes (1TB + 500GB) will arrive later this year.  The timing is right on time as August 2nd is also when the Anniversary Update for Windows 10 goes live.  This update will add some new interesting features to the Xbox One as well.

Now you have to decide on whether or not to grab the One S or just wait for the more powerful Scorpio console set to arrive late next year.
