VZW app 2016Today, Verizon unveiled lots of new changes in regards to their mobile services.  This means new data packages, new pricing, and a new Verizon app to manage everything in one spot.  Some of this is good and some of it won’t be too pleasing for some VZW subscribers.

For starters, the new My Verizon app is a lot more streamlined than it was previously.  It lays out everything you need to know about your account: data, acct info, billing, data hub (that shows you how much data you’re using, who’s using it, & how to get more), add new services, and on-demand support.

You also get the new options like Carryover Data: that moves unused data from one month (and only one month) to the next, Safety Mode: allows you to use more data than your chosen plan but throttles your speed to 128kbps until the next cycle, Data Boost: allows you to add 1GB of data to your plan, and International calling/roaming to Canada & Mexico: easily to add unlimited calling to those countries on an XL or XXL plan as it will cost you $5 per month/$2 per day on the S,M, L plans.

VZW 2016 plansAnd lastly, say hello to the New Verizon Plan.  As you can see from the photo above, we see more data for more $$$.  You have a new 2GB plan for $35, 4GB for $50, 8GB for $70, 16GB for $90, and 24GB for $100.  So overall, you’re getting about 30% more data but you will have to pay for it.

These new plans & app kick off officially tomorrow.  What’re your thoughts on everything VZW has to offer?
