There were already glimpses of a Red version of the Nextbit Robin spotted a few weeks back and it is now here. Effective today, you now have a Red color option they have dubbed Ember to choose from. Be mindful that it will arrive in limited quantities.
It is definitely an even sexier-looking Robin w/ that Red & Black paintjob. Of course, the internals & features will remain the same as well as the $299 price point. Along w/ the new coat of paint, Nextbit will be rolling out a software update for its beta users to store videos in the cloud along w/ photos. Nice! A general update for all is set for August as it will offer Android security patches & thermal tuning to reduce any heat the phone makes.
If you’re interested in the new color, act fast as this is released as the summer edition and I imagine once they run out – that’s it. Sidenote: We should have our review of the Nextbit Robin set to arrive sometime in August BTW.
