att mobile shareI am kind of on the late side w/ this but about 10 days ago, AT&T announced their new Mobile Share Advantage plans that were created to give you more for your $$$.  From giving you more data for your dollar and no overage fees when your go over your data limit.  Let’s dig into them some more shall we?

So instead of getting charged for overage fees, you will get throttled when you hit your limit but better paying more $$$ for data that month.  Keep in mind that after you go over, you can still access data but you will be utilizing a super-slow speed of 128Kbps (slower than Edge speeds, yikes).  But hey, that’s what Wi-Fi is for.  FYI: Rollover data, unlimited domestic talk + text, shareable data between lines, mobile hotspot, and more aren’t going anywhere as they can still be used w/ the Advantage plans.

Pricing for the new Advantage plans are as follows:  $30 for 1GB, $40 for 3GB, $60 for 6GB, $80 for 10GB, $90 for 16GB, $110 for 25GB, and $135 for 30GB.  The new plan will ask for $20 per month for a device access charge, though.  For those of you still on a 2-year contract, the access fee is $40.

These new plans went live on August 21st as the previous Mobile Share Value plans are no more.  For those of you still using it, you’re fine.  Just don’t make any changes to your data plan.  All new AT&T customers will only have the new Advantage plans as an option.
