canon MK4 1Earlier this morning, Canon finally announced their 4th-generation of the 5D Mark full-frame DSLR camera.  Canon made sure to add a few new features to be worth the wait - hopefully.  Let's break down everything new w/ this thing.

The Mark IV offers up a 30.4MP DualPixel auto-focus sensor, ISO range of 100-32,000 that's expandable to 50-102,400, powered by Canon's Digic 6+ image processor, can shoot @ 7fps as well as HDR video + 4K video@30 or 24 fps, armed w/ a 3.2inch touchscreen LCD to pinch-and-zoom images, and you now have a GPS built-in w/ NFC + Wi-Fi connectivity.

The 5D Mark system was a standard of which photographers + YouTubers when it launched back in March 2012.  A lot has changed in the camera industry since.  Sony is now a force to be reckoned with, FuljiFilm is doing their thing, and Panasonic has a great foothold now.  It's gonna be hard for Canon to pull everyone away from whatever their new systems are.

The 5D Mark IV will be available sometime in early September for $3,500 as their new f/2.8L III 16-35mm and a new f/4L 24-105mm are coming in October for $2200 + $1100.
