Word got around to LG that their G5 isn’t the one this year. Since their G5 sales have been lackluster, they’re ready to shift their focus to their newest flagship: the V20. They have already claimed it as the 1st device to run Android Nougat out of the box. Not sure of that means that this will be out before the 2016 Nexus devices or not. Whatever the case, they announced that they will be unveiling it in San Francisco on September 6th.
Last year, LG shook things up a bit w/ the V10 as they wanted to make the V-series their new top-of-the-line device. If it is anything like last year’s model, it will have better features on-board than the G5 and make worth the wait. Even though we’re ramping up towards the end of the year, there’s still a lot to get excited for. We got the Note 7 landing in a few weeks, new Nexus smartphones, the V20, and whatever Apple will be rolling out next month.
