android 7.0-nougatEarlier this afternoon, Google announced that Android 7.0 Nougat will begin rolling out today.  Like any other Android devices, Nexus gets dibs on that new-new while every other device will have to wait for manufacturer + carrier testing (which will probably be months from now) before they can get theirs.

Android 7.0 Nougat brings forth tons of new features to Google’s platform.  You have a handful of notable ones like split-screen multitasking, quick-reply notifications & more emoji while other will be smaller and effect under the hood of Android.   So if you’re new to this, don’t expect any drastic changes.

The rollout is effective today and will be rolling out over the next few weeks to all things Nexus (6P, 5X, 6, 9, Nexus Player) + a Pixel C tablet.  You can take a look at what the new update looks like in beta form below.
