ps4-consoleLong before the Xbox One S was leaked, announced, and released, there was word about a 4K-enabled PS4.  Now that the One S is out, it looks like Sony is just about ready to show us their 4K gaming console.

It is said Sony will hold an event in NYC on September 7th to reveal the codenamed PS4 Neo.  Unlike Microsoft’s One S, Sony’s will actually support 4K gaming.  Xbox gamers will have to wait for Project Scorpio which is due out during the latter part of 2017 to bask in actual UHD gaming.

Sony is said to continue selling the current version of the PS4.  The PS4 Neo will support current PS4 games as well as newer 4K games BTW.  Just in case, that was a concern for you.

So who’s ready for the newer PS4?
