nexus 9Throughout the years, it seems like Google has yet to match the success or popularity of the Nexus 7 tablet.  I actually loved the Nexus 9 but that 7inch Nexus slate was at the sweet spot.  According to the latest report, Google looks to be trying it again.

Enter The Nexus 7P by Huawei.

Thanks to EvLeaks (Evan Blass), Google will be teaming up w/ Huawei to see if they can replicate the success of the Nexus 6P – in tablet form w/ the Nexus 7P.  The report suggests a 7inch display (no word what resolution it will be but it should at least be a QHD panel) and 4GB of RAM.  We can lock it in running Android 7.0 Nougat but other than that, we won’t know what else it has to offer at the moment.

Not sure if this will be the only Nexus this year or the last Nexus ever at this point.  With all of the Pixel smartphone leaks, this sounds like this is part of Google’s transition into a new brand name.  We’re expecting to an announcement for a Google hardware event on October 4th.
