It is officially official as it is time for Google’s fall event.  They sent out invites earlier this evening to press along w/ the video above on their YouTube page for an event on October 4th in San Francisco, CA.  The highlight of the event that we’re expecting to see is their new Pixel smartphones.  This could be the death of the Nexus or Google just doing something different this year.

The 2 smartphones (Pixel & Pixel XL) is said to arrive in 2 sizes: 5inch & 5.5inch.  Both will sport an all-metal unibody design by HTC, 4GB of RAM, quad-core Snapdragon CPUs, running Andorid 7.0 Nougat w/ the Pixel Launcher & Google’s new Assistant AI built-in, and 12MP cameras on the rear.  Also, said to be unveiled are Google Home (Amazon Echo competitor), Daydream VR, a 4K-capable Chromecast, and possibly Google-made Nexus smartwatches.

We still got to wait for pricing and availability for everything that might be unveiled there.  Still waiting on the GBoard for Android BTW.  The event will be livestreamed on their YouTube page on the 4th at 9AM PST/12PM EST.

I am curious to see if the Pixel will make me stop using my Nexus 6P.
