Nexus 6P revisit-6Yesterday was a huge day for Google as their unveiled a lot of new hardware along w/ a new direction as well.  Its no secret that HTC was behind the new premium Pixel smartphones as well Google’s initial step into smartphones: the Nexus One.  But it originally wasn’t supposed to be this way.

According to Android Police, Huawei was supposed to handle the work of the Pixel as part of their partnership from last year.  They were supposed to be creating a total of 3 devices for this year but fell through after Huawei wasn’t feeling not having their branding on the device.  That along w/ not getting the deal they wanted for the Nexus 6P launch last year made them lose interest.  Apparently, despite all of the great devices they’ve been dropping within the past year, they’re still having trouble penetrating the US market.

We may still get a device from Huawei as they’re rumored to be crafting an upcoming tablet for Google.  After seeing the Pixel smartphones officially, would you have rather seen Huawei do it or are you satisfied w/ what HTC put together?
