Google had a big hit on their hands a few years back w/ the Chromecast.  It was an HDMI streaming dongle that allowed you to stream or ‘Cast’ media from your smartphone/tablet to your TV.  Now that years have past, Google preps us for the UHD version called the Chromecast Ultra.

This time around it does everything the standard Chromecast does but is 1.8x faster and adds support for Ethernet, 4K, HDR, & Dolby Vision.  This would be ideal for those of you watching your favorite YouTubers who shoot in 4K, your favorite Netflix shows in 4K, or original content from Amazon Video in 4K.

Since just about all 4K TVs are Smart TVs, I’m not sure how well this version would actually sell. this time around.  It will cost you double the price of the regular one at $69 and will be available on November.
