2017 Ioniq Electric Vehicle (EV)Every CES for the past few years, companies like Hyundai take this opportunity to unveil some cool stuff they’ve been working on.  This time around, we have a cool new feature coming to their Blue Link service.

‘OK, Google’.  Start up the Batmobile.

Along w/ accessing emergency support, controlling your car service via Android Wear/Apple Watch, and more; it now has one more trick up its sleeve thanks to a new partnership w/Google.  You can now use your voice to control your Hyundai vehicle via Google Home.

So this gives you the ability to unlock your car doors, start up your car, and more via their connected speaker.  And since Blue Link already supports Google Maps, it can look up addresses/direction and send them over to your car by the sound of your voice.

This makes Hyundai the 1st car company to implement car control w/ a connected speaker or home assistant.  Even ahead of a progressive company like Tesla.  No word on when the feature is set to go live.  Hopefully, it won’t take too long.
