chromebook_026_front_silverAfter being teased a few weeks back, all is finally revealed about Samsung’s latest laptop running Chrome OS.  Say hello to the Chromebook Pro and the Chromebook Plus: the 1st Chromebooks built from the ground up to support Android apps.

For the most part, both laptops are the same save for a few of the details.  Both offer a 12.3inch LED 360-degree rotating touchscreen (like the ASUS Flip) w/ 2400 x 1600 resolution, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, an 8-hour battery life, 2 USB-C ports, SD card slot, stereo speakers, a 720p webcam, a Note-like stylus, and access to the Play Store.

In regards to the differences, the Pro utilizes an Intel Core M3 CPU & Intel GPU while the Plus offers a hexacore ARM CPU made for Chromebooks.  Other than that, they’re the same device.  The Plus will have a $449 price tag coming in February to various retailers while the Pro’s pricing has yet to be announced and coming in the Spring.

So who’s looking to dive into the 2017 vision for Chromebooks?
