Looks like Project Fi is looking to get a bit more versatile in the near future. Currently, the service offers voice calls via 3G via Sprint, T-Mobile, & US Cellular. Google is currently testing LTE voice calls over Project Fi.
Looks like T-Mobile will be the partner providing the VoLTE service since their the ones better suited out of the 3. Sprint only has HD Calling w/ its own VoLTE is still in the works. They’re testing the new service w/ a small group of users before kicking off a full rollout to all of its Fi subscribers. More than likely sometime later this year.
