Plex is looking to be your new all-in-one solution for cutting the cord in 2017.   BTW, we’re working on a guide to get you all on board w/ the cord-cutting life.  Today, they’re announcing live TV & DVR features for all of their Plex Pass subscribers.

Of course, you will need your own tuner that’s connected to a TV antenna/cable jack and Plex will handle the rest.  This will get you access to local news, live sports, and up to 86 out of the 100 popular US network channels.  You’ll get to watch stuff from ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, PBS, and much more.  This will have you ready to stream live TV to Android TV, Android device, iOS devices, or Apple TV.  The live TV feature will offer Plex’s built-in recommendation system to find shows and such.

For those of you who remember Windows Media Center, Plex is becoming a great replacement for it to handle all your media library.  The Plex Pass offers Plex Cloud, offline access, and more for $5 per month, $40 per year, and $120 for a lifetime.
