While there are several touchscreen Chromebooks out in the world, the Chrome OS wasn’t made for touchscreen support.  According to the video above, Google has been working on some things we hope that will arrive in an upcoming update of the OS.

We see a new touch-based launcher in the experimental version of Chrome Canary.  We see the launcher along w/ the Google search bar & suggested apps as well as swiping up to see all apps Android-style.  We also see a voice search option as well.

So add this w/ access to the Google Play Store, this will make an interesting way to utilize Chromebooks moving forward.  For those of you interested, you can try it out right now but mind you that it is a bit buggy.  You can grab it here if you’re bold enough.
