Yesterday, Nest unveiled a new, more-affordable option for their smart thermostats w/ the Nest Thermostat E.  The image of this was actually leaked a few weeks ago on the Internet as it is exactly what everyone thought it was.

For starters, it has a more simplified, less technical look to it w/ a White body & frosted display.  It will offer most of the same features of the original Nest like automatic turn-off when away, scheduling, support for Alexa & Google Home, cooling/heating alerts, and can be controlled by your smartphone.

Nest says the E will make it $$$ back by saving you around $131 to $145 per year on your energy bill.   Not bad the unit itself will cost you only $169 and can be easily installed into your home.

Will this make its way into your home?
