Even though it seems like many companies have abandoned the Smartwatch market, one company appears to be just getting started: Fossil.  In case you didn’t know, Fossil is the parent company of Skagen who has a new Android Wear Smartwatch called the Falster.

The Falster offers up the best of minimalist design and modern technology w/ Android Wear 2.0.  This Skagen’s 1st touchscreen smartwatch as previously its been analog hybrid watches.  No word as of yet on the display size but it is running Snapdragon Wear 2100 CPU and a lack of NFC so no Android Pay support, unfortunately.  So with that, you got the features of AW w/ activity tracking (but no heart-rate tracking though), notifications for calls/messaging/emails, voice controls, music control, customizable faces, & more.

The Falster will go on sale on January 25th starting at $275.  Based off of the photos, it reminds me of a mesh of the LG Watch Style & Moto 360 a bit.  Looks good nonetheless.  It will arrive in a total of 4 colorways at the launch of black leather, silver mesh, gold mesh and brown leather.  Will this be your next Smartwatch?
