DJI wanted to make sure they got their announcements in ahead of the wave of unveiling set for later this week. Yesterday, they unveiled the new & improved Osmo Mobile 2 gimbal for smartphones. Did we mention it cheaper than the original when it launched?
The Osmo Mobile 2 is lighter, the tripod mount is at the bottom now, and a built-in USB port to charge while on the go. You now have an internal battery that can give you up to 15-hours of juice on a single charge. You got an improved zoom control for active tracking, motion time-lapse, & more. And lastly, support for portrait video to use this for your Snapchat & Instagram videos.
It costs only $129 and will go on sale at the Apple Store 1st and then through DJI & retailers next month. Pre-orders kick off on January 23rd for those of you interested to be one of the 1st to own one. Are you grabbing one of these?
