So before it was all about the A7R-line of shooters, the A7 was the standard.  Now w/ the A7S, A7R, & A9, the A7 has become the ‘basic’ model.  Last night, Sony went back to update their 1st full-frame mirrorless camera w/ the A7 III.

Sony keeps putting the pressure on Canon & Nikon.

This will bear the fruit of the other great Sony shooters before it.  The A7 III will sport a 24.2MP full-frame 35mm sensor, the latest Bionz X image processor, internal 4K HDR video downscaled from 6K, ISO range from 100-51.200 and expandable form 50-204,800, 15 stops of dynamic range, 10fps continuous shooting, 5 axis in-body images stabilization, the same 693 phase detection auto-focus point, dual SD card slots, & joystick from the a9, a fast-start XGA OLED viewfinder, USB-C, and a larger battery life that gives up to 710 shots per charge.

The new A7 III will cost you $2,000 for the body & $2,200 for the body + FE f/3.5-f/5.6 28-70mm lens.  Pre-orders kick off tomorrow and due out on sale sometime in April.  Did Sony just make the camera you’ve been holding out for?
