So, remember Sony’s new flagship smartphones unveiled back at MWC?  Yes?  No?  Well, let me jog your memory.  They unveiled the Xperia XZ2: finally a redesigned high-end phone from Sony.

When it was announced, there wasn’t any word of the device coming to the US.  But now we know that it is.  You can pre-order from Best Buy from April 13th to the 19th, their website on April 20th, and in Best Buy retail stores on May 6th.  And on May 20th, they’ll add Amazon and other 3rd-party retailers.  The Xperia XZ2 will be priced at $800 BTW.

As far as specs, the XZ2 has a 5.7inch 2160 x 1080 HDR display, Snapdragon 845 CPU, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage expandable via microSD, a f/2.0 19MP camera capable of 4K HDR video & 960fps/120fps @1080p, a f/2.2 5MP selfie camera, water-resistant body, stereo speakers, and a 3180 mAh battery + fast wireless charging.

I am actually interested in the phone just not so much the pricing at $800.  Will the new design & specs entice you enough to pick one up?
