Bad news for those of you looking forward to using Group FaceTime in the fall.  Looks like you’ll have to wait a little bit – at least sometime after iOS 12 officially launches.

Yesterday, the release notes of iOS 12 says the feature will be removed from the initial release.  Group FaceTime expands the one-on-one video calling up to 32 people at once.  This was set to arrive for the iPhone, iPad, & the Mac.  The feature was set to arrive for iOS 12 & macOS Mojave but is currently set to arrive sometime later in the fall probably before the end of the year.

So just like AirPlay for iOS 11 or the AirPower wireless charging station (we’re still waiting for), this is starting to become a thing unfortunately.  Hopefully it won’t take a year to get ready.

Who’s bummed out about this?
