Earlier this morning, Nikon made their new shooters official.  So say hello to their first full-frame mirrorless cameras w/ the Nikon Z-series -namely the Z6 & the Z7.  You got a new body, new internals, and features the people are clamoring for.

Nikon is targeting the Sony A7III & A7R III w/ the Z6 & Z7.

The Nikon Z6 offers a 24.5MP full-frame sensor, Expeed 6 image processor, 273 AF points w/ Hybrid PDAF, 12fps, 1080p video @120fps and 4K @30fps, 3.2inch touchscreen display, 5-axis optical image stabilization, weather-sealed body, Bluetooth, & Wi-Fi.  All of this is coming late November for $2000 for the body & $2,600 w/ an f/4 24-70mm kit lens.

While the Nikon Z7 offers a 45.7MP full-frame sensor, Expeed 6 image processor, 493 AF points w/ Hybrid PDAF, 9fps, ISO 64-25,600 (maxes out at 102,400), 1080p video @120fps, 4K @30fps, 3.2inch touchscreen display, 5-axis optical image stabilization, weather-sealed body, Bluetooth & Wi-Fi.  This is coming sooner on September 27th for $3,400 for the body & $4,000 w/ f/4 24-70mm kit lens.

For you Nikon enthusiasts, keep in mind that your older Nikkor lenses won’t work on this natively as you need an adapter for it.  Lucky enough, Nikon created their own adapter that will be available the same day the cameras launch.

Honestly, these guys look interesting as we’ll have to see how it performs in real life to really form an opinion.  So at first glance, what do you think of Nikon’s new shooters?
