Have you ever misplaced your wallet and wrecked your brain to try and find it – time and time again.  Has this ever happened to you?  Well, the folks over at Nomad got just the product for you.  Say hello to the Nomad Slim Wallet w/ Tile Tracking.   This is a quality leather wallet w/ room for tons of cards w/ cash despite its smaller size.  Add that w/ the Tile tracking inside, and this should solve your problem w/ ease.  Unless you’re the type to lose your phone as well as your wallet.    We’ve used it over the course of almost a month and its time to talk about it and tell you everything you need to know about it.

Before we talk about the tech side, how does it hold up as a wallet

So on the outside, the wallet is comprised of US-made 100% leather from Horween Leather Co. of Chicago that is vegetable-tanned & coated w/ natural waxes + oils.  Nomad recommends using a quality leather conditioner to maintain a good condition.  I’m no leather expert but it definitely offers a quality & premium feel to it.   On the inside, it can carry up to 15 cards at a time (although they recommend 12) & armed w/ 2 pockets for cash.  I’m not carrying that many cards at a time.  I usually have my 2 debit cards, my drivers license, about 3 or 4 credit cards, and occasional (paper) coupons.  It’s fine but I am used to a bigger wallet.

Tile tracking should be inside all wallets

Now onto the tech inside, the Tile tracking tag isn’t new as it has been around for years.  For those of you who don’t know, Tile is a Bluetooth-enabled & can be tracked w/ the Tile app.  Setup is easy as you just press a button on it and sync w/ your phone via the Tile app.  It has a range of up to 100ft and will send a notification when the 2 lose contact.  They even have a community of users that can help to find your wallet.   This is a good quality wallet w/ very little wear after about a month of using it.  Nomad’s choice for Horween leather definitely looks to be a good one.   There are only 2 downsides to the wallet for me.   One is that I’m not much of a slim wallet kind of guy, I prefer the larger bi-fold wallets.  And two is that the Tile only lasts about a year.  Not bad as they only cost around $20-$30.  Of course, they could last longer but Tile gotta make $$ somehow so I get it.  This is a great wallet & would make an amazing stocking stuffer as the holidays are right around the corner.  Especially for those who’re always misplacing theirs or could use a new one.
