*FYI: There are affiliate links present as we get a cut from your purchase. However our picks weren’t influenced by them.*

The past few years, earbuds have gotten amazing in regards to the build, sound quality, battery life, & features. So as 2021 comes to an end, there are a lot of buds to go over. We wanted to go over our favorite earbuds for the year. Our picks aren’t what we consider the best or the worst but each as something that appeals to us as we think you’ll like them as well. So let’s dive into them all. Let’s get started shall we?

Sony WF-1000XM4: The Best of the Best

No surprise that Sony has their foot on their neck in the audio department. Their long-awaited 4th-gen WF-1000 noise-canceling earbuds live up to the hype. You got a IPX4 rating, high-resolution LDAC audio quality w/ the bass to match, headphone-level ANC, great mics for calls, and top-tier 8-hour battery life w/ ANC on. Only thing keeping it from complete perfection is the lack of multipoint Bluetooth connection. But being premium has a premium cost to it w/ $280.

Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro: High-End Specs w/o High-End Pricing

Anker’s Soundcore brand nailed it w/ their 3rd iteration of their Liberty Pro line of earbuds. They bring over a high-res LDAC audio quality, super-customizable sound profile via their Soundcore app, 6 mics for flagship level ANC + calls, IPX4 rating, multipoint Bluetooth and up to an 8-hour battery life. I say up to as the louder you play content or the longer you take a phone call will shrink those battery life numbers.

Apple AirPods Pro: The Best for iPhone Users

The fan-favorites for iPhone users have returned to the list. Although we didn’t get a 2nd-gen version of these buds this year but there ‘s always next year. You still got IPX4 rating, great noise-canceling + Spatial Audio, great mics for calls, and decent 4.5-hour battery life. They did update the charging case to add MagSafe support w/ the same price point of $250 but I’m sure you can find it for under $200.

Google Pixel Buds A-Series: Best Paired w/ Pixel Phones

Google’s 1st budget version of their earbuds turned out to be better than their flagship versions – despite the minor differences. This polishes all of the previous issues the Pixel Buds had into more affordable package. You get IPX4 rating, more comfortable rubber arcs, rich sound, a decent 5-hour battery life, and hands-free access to the Google Assistant. All for a lovely entry price of $99.

Beats Fit Pro: Best Buds For Fitness

Beats by Dre have been doing amazing within their latest group of products to better live up to its own hype/marketing. The latest Beats Fit Pro which acts as a replacement of sorts for the Powerbeats Pro. These offers IPX4 rating, bigger rubber arcs, Apple-level ANC + transparency modes, up to 6 hour battery life, and Apple’s H1 chip for auto switching/audio sharing/Hey Siri support. An Apple product w/ Apple-like pricing at $200.

Honorable Mention:

Oddict Twig Pro 2: Stylish & Well-Balanced Buds

As part of a last minute entry is a pick from the folks over at Oddict w/ their latest Twig Pro earbuds. These give you a premium-look to it w/ a brushed aluminum buds/charging case. Kind of a high-end version of the AirPods. You got a IPX4 rating, a digital-powered hybrid ANC + 6 mics for calling, and a great-looking app w/ a good experience to go along w/ it. All of this for only $149.
