Whats In My Bag? Hex Brand Edition

We haven’t been traveling too much so far for 2019 as we skipped CES as I’ve been working overtime w/ a few hotel stays.  However, we have been knocking out videos, one every week in the month of January.  We have a new addition for the What’s In My Bag? feature for 2019.   We now have a new bag to showcase for you all.  This time around, it’s from Hex Bags and specifically the Infinity Signal backpack.   So we’ve been carrying everything listed below to get everything done.

Hex Infinity Signal Backpack

So the backpack isn’t the bag I would have normally gravitated to as I prefer more compartments on the outside.  The Hex Infinity Signal backpack has fewer compartments than I’m particularly used to.  However, I was won over after using it for about a week.

The Infinity Signal bag offers a canvas fabric that’s been treated to handle water resistance along w/ black-coated canvas accents w/ branded zipper pulls.  You got a big zipper section to holds most of the big-ticket items, you got a front padded tablet pocket, and a front sunglasses pocket.  I got a spare phone or SD card in the sunglasses section w/ wires + business cards in the tablet section.

In regards to the larger section, it has a padded sleeve w/ faux fur lining to put the laptops up to a 13inch-to15inch laptop which I’ve used my 15.4inch MacBook Pro or MateBook 13.  Along w/ that, you got an organizer for pens, keys & other misc things.  I keep my lapel mic, screwdriver kit, and my monitor.

As far as what I keep inside, we got them listed below:

Eyeglasses

Another item you need and should always carry with you is a pair of eyeglasses. You can look here to find round glasses options for a simple, elegant, and intelligent appearance. The round look has and continues to be a great choice if you want to appear sophisticated and fashionable. There are a variety of styles and frames to choose from so you’re sure to find a pair that’s suitable for you and that makes you excited to put them on. You need the right pair of eyewear to complete your tasks and wear when you’re going about your day. You don’t want just any eyeglasses; you want some that are known to be effective and stylish.

Still rocking the same shooter from the last bag review: the Sony a6300.  I kinda got everything you would need: from 4K video, 120fps slow motion, SLog-3 support, and fast auto-focus – all in a nice, small package.  The a6400 looks interesting as the A7 III is still the goal to upgrade to.  I added a nice accessory to get over the lack of seeing myself w/ the…

I picked this up right before the holidays to get better angles and shots for A & B-roll footage for YouTube content as I shoot 95% alone.  The AndyCine A6 has a 360-degree rotating 5.7inch IPS display offers a Histogram, Focus view, Zebra exposure, image flip, and more.  It also comes w/ a tilt-arm to support an additional shoe mount to add a small light, shotgun mic, or extra arm.  We’ll be doing a full review on this soon.

The MateBook 13 has been the current laptop of choice.   We got the higher of the 2 configurations armed w/ a Core i7 CPU, 8GB of RAM, 512GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce MX150 GPU and up to 7-hour battery – all on a 13inch touchscreen display.  The keyboard & trackpad are a joy to use w/ premium feel to it.  This laptop from Huawei can handle many tasks form light gaming, photo editing, and more.  All while being lightweight to throw in any bag or laptop sleeve to get things done while on the go.

First cameras and now headphones, Sony has been making superb and quality products for the past few years now but really excelling in those 2 areas.  The 3rd-generation WH-1000 headphone series is the premium all-around and best noise-canceling cans on the market right now.  You got amazing sound quality w/ high-end sound profile support, 30-hour battery life, USB-C fast charging, and amazing all-day comfort.

Moving on from the 2XL, my new main phone is the Pixel 3 XL from Google.  Pure Android w/ its share of issues at launch, it has gotten better overall.  Despite all of that, it still one of the top 3 cameras on a smartphone but now w/ NightSight & a wider selfie camera.  Wireless charging was a welcome addition as well.  Hopefully this year, Google will catch up w/ the additional RAM to at 6GB or 8GB moving forward as well as new design.

My secondary phone which could be my main phone is the Galaxy Note 9 from Samsung.  The Note 9 grants you amazing photos & videos, high-end performance, up to 2-day battery life, the S Pen is amazing for those who use it, headphone jack, IP68 body, wireless charging, and the best screen on a smartphone.   Unfortunately, it came w/ a premium price tag as many couldn’t enjoy it as they should.
