While its not quite ready for launch, we got details on what to expect next from GoPro. Word is that it will be announced on October 8th. Here is the Hero 4 as it is GoPro’s 1st to offer 4K video up to 30fps.
Slated to arrive in Black and Silver editions, the new Hero 4s will work hand-in-hand w/ previous accessories as well. The Silver edition will come equipped w/ a touchscreen and can shoot 12MP photos as well. As far as the rest of the specs…
Both cameras will shoot in 720p @120fps, 960p @100fps, 1080p @60fps, 1440p @48fps, 2.7K @30fps, and 4K (Black @30fps + Silver @15fps). Also on-board is Bluetooth + Wi-Fi support, manual controls (ISO, exposure, color, etc.), and the ability to highlight specific clips in footage for later.
We’ll have to wait for the official word for pricing on these two.
