While the new Z Fold 8 foldables might be the stars of this Unpacked, let’s not forget about the new Galaxy Z Flip 8 flip-style foldable. It retains most of its features and specs from the previous model—even down to the price point. It starts at $1,200 and arrives in Pink, Graphite, Cream, and Mint colors (a Samsung online exclusive).

While it may not offer as many significant upgrades as its big brethren, a mild update to the fun Z Flip series is always welcome. The Z Flip 8 is thinner and is lighter than its predecessor, touts a new cover screen with over 100 custom cards with app support, and provides improved camera stabilization.

The Z Flip 8 is equipped with a 4.1-inch OLED cover screen with an adaptive refresh rate of 60-120 Hz that opens to a 6.9-inch 120 Hz display. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. And like its predecessor, it’s equipped with a 50MP ultrawide main camera and 12MP ultrawide sensors, supports up to 10x digital zoom, records up to 4K video at 60fps, and has a 10MP selfie camera. And lastly, it keeps its 4,300 mAh battery, but with faster 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging

Pre-orders went live when Samsung announced the Unpacked date, but you can still reserve the Galaxy Z Flip 8, as it’s expected to go on sale in the coming weeks.
