Earlier this morning, Bose announced its second-gen, entry-level QuietComfort ANC headphones. The company is bringing forth several new features that arrive with a $10 increase from its $350 predecessor, giving the new pair a $360 price tag attached to it.
The newest QC headphones add a more comfortable and easier-to-adjust headband with oval-shaped earcups. There’s a more adaptable six-mic ANC system to compensate for gaps in the ear cup seal with upgraded Aware or transparency mode. Bose adds immersive audio listening modes that add head-tracking and a theater-like audio experience, and Bose’s TrueSpatial technology from its more premium QC Ultra headphones.
The newest QC cans also use USB-C audio for wired lossless audio playback up to 24-bit, which essentially boosts clarity in voice for video and phone calls. And lastly, you can finally use the headphones while charging via USB-C, as I’m not sure why this wasn’t an option before.
Pre-orders kick off on August 8, go on sale on August 13, and will arrive in black, white smoke, eucalyptus green, dewdrop mint, and rosewood mauve colors.
