And just like that. Skype has pulled the app down from the App Store and tweeted, “To ensure your best Skype experience, we’ve temporarily removed Skype for iPad which went live prematurely today. We know you’ve been eagerly awaiting Skype for iPad and apologize for the inconvenience.”
It’s official like a referee with a whistle. The official Skype app for the iPad is now live and ready to help keep you and your loved ones connected. The app offers instant messaging, video/audio calling over both 3G & Wi-Fi. The app is, of course, available for free but it won’t appear as an update in the regular Skype app for the other iOS devices. The cool thing other than Skype-ing on a nice sized screen is that you can instant message while on a phone call using the app. Nice!
