Today, Huawei released not one or two but 3 new Android tablets under the MediaPad moniker. We got the new MediaPad M5 series of slates. Offering power, battery life, and high-end audio w/ the M5 8.4inch, the M5 10.8inch, & the M5 Pro 1.08inch.
Other than screen & battery sizes, the tablets are more or less the same. The regular M5 offers an 8.4inch display w/ 2560 x 1600 resolution + 359ppi, 5100 mAh battery, Kirin 960 CPU, and dual speakers. The larger M5 & M5 Pro offers a 10.8inch IPS display w/ a 2560 x 1600 resolution + 280ppi, 7500 mAh battery, and quad speakers. The M5 runs a Kirin 960 CPU & the M5 Pro runs a Kirin 960 s CPU. All three include 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage expandable via microSD up to 256GB, running Android 8.0 under EMUI 8.0, an 8MP front-facing + 13MP rear-facing cameras.
The M5s (8.4inch + 10.8inch) will arrive in Space Grey color option while the M5 Pro will come in Champagne Gold. You’ll spend $319 for the 8.4inch, $359 for the 10.8 inch M5, and $449 for the M5 Pro.
As far as pricing goes, these are definitely the best feature set & price point for Android tablets. Anyone looking to pick one of these up?
