Remember that DJI event that was supposed to take place on July 18th in NYC? Yeah, that got postponed. But recently, the folks over DroneDJ got an email w/ an image of what we may have seen at that event: the Mavic 2. Not sure why it’s not the Mavic Pro 2 but the logo on the image just says Mavic 2 on it.
The Mavic 2 shows off the same folding arms, color scheme, and battery placement. We do see a larger sensor size that could house 2 camera lens. Possibly a f/1.7 sensor and a larger sensor w/ optical zoom capabilities as ‘See The Bigger Picture’ was the tagline for the canceled event. We see larger motors on board as well as 360-degree obstacle avoidance from their last 2 drones. And lastly, there does seem to be a gimbal present on the table like GoPro did w/ their failed Karma drone.
