In Europe, the EU(European Union) has agreed to set a standard for mobile phones there. They have decided to make the Micro-USB the standard for mobile phone charging. Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, Apple, LG, NEC, Qualcomm, Research in Motion, Samsung and Texas Instruments are the major manufacturers participating with the EU with this change and starting next they will shipping out compatible devices.
