Well boys and girls I said back in August that AT&T has been rumored to recieve the HTC Touch Pro (qwerty slide out) but in fact they have been given another device from HTC called the Fuze. What is it you may ask. Well it is the Touch Pro with a different name. Same exact device that Sprint is getting but with the AT&T branding and a different name. I also promised some differences for the two Touch devices (Pro and Diamond) and here they are.

The inside is all just about the same with very small variations (especially depending on the carrier). The important things are size, weight, memory storage, and speed. The Touch Pro is obviously bigger because of the keyboard and the Diamond has none. The Touch Pro has an expandable microSD slot and the Diamond has none, but the Diamond has an onboard 4gb memory instead (although with microSDHC you can expand up to 16gb these days). The processor is faster for the Touch Pro because it needs to read the information from your microSD cards where as the Diamond doesn’t (duh!). The Touch pro is also obviously heavier because of the size but only by 50 grams. The battery life is also significantly better on the Pro also but maybe because they had more time to work on it while waiting for official release. The Diamond was out on the market months earlier than the Touch Pro. I am sure upgrades will becoming for the Diamond to get the battery life close or similiar to that of the Pro. Also remember the Touch Pro is the Fuze in AT&T stores so try not to confuse anyone when looking to purchase through AT&T. Wonder what Verizon will do if and when they receive their HTC Touch devices. In the mean time, Big Red (Verizon) is almost ready for their Blackberry Storm (the first touch screen Blackberry device). Imagine using the previous post about Colorware to customize your own device colors.
