Earlier this evening, Fujifilm unveiled its latest, retro-styled mirrorless camera with the X-M1. Acting as a middle ground between their high-end line and point-and-shoot camera, Fujifilm maintains the classic look in its design. Modeled with the similar stylings as their high-end X-1 Pro, this shooter offers a 16.3MP APS-C sensor w/ 16-50mm kit lens + optical image stabilization to capture everything. But wait, there’s more.
The X-M1 brings Fujifilm into a more affordable arena, viewfinder sold separately though.
You have a classic mode dial for your controls, ISO range from 100-25,600, a tilting 3inch LCD display, a pop-up Intelligent flash, and built-in Wi-Fi for sharing photos via dedicated Android or iOS app. You have a dedicated hot shoe on-board the X-M1 but viewfinder not included. All of this is powered by their EXR image processor that provides a 0.5-second startup time and a 0.05 shutter lag.
The X-M1 is due out in July in both Black + Silver colors while the Brown finish will land in August. The body will only cost you $ 700 and with the kit lens, $800. Peep the demo video video below.
