As of yesterday, the company known as MetroPCS is no more as it now has a new name. Say hello to Metro by T-Mobile as the new name & re-brand will kick off on October 1st. T-Mo has owned the pre-paid company since 2013 and now they're making a bit more known.
Metro by T-Mo will offer 2 new plans that will beef up one of their current plans in the process. You'll have a $50 & $60 monthly plan that offers 'unlimited' LTE data, Google One storage , & 5GB ($50 plan) & 15GB ($60 plan) mobile hotspot. We used quotes w/ the unlimited as they will throttle your data after 35GB used within a cycle as video quality drops down to 480p as well. The $60 plan also offers an Amazon Prime subscription as well which is a good value as Prime costs around $100-ish annually.
So does the new name & pricing entice you give the new Metro a shot?
