Looks like the rumors were true.  Say hello to Panasonic’s 1st full-frame mirrorless camera system w/ the S1 & S1R line.  These shooters utilize Leica’s L-mount that Sigma, Panasonic, & Leica to make tech in the future.

Both shooters offer a weather-sealed body w/ a 35mm full-frame sensor, a new Venis image processing chipset, dual image stabilization (both body + lens), 4K 60p/50p video recording, 3-axis tilt LCD screen, Panasonic’s Depth-from-Defocus autofocus system, and support for dual card slots (1 QXD + 1 SD).  The only real difference between the 2 cameras is the S1 has a 24MP sensor & the S1R has a 47MP sensor.

That’s all of the info they shared w/ us from Photokina for now.  The shooters won’t be available until sometime next year.

So did Panasonic pull you away from the latest from Canon, Nikon, & Sony?
