If you planned on getting a Tesla anytime soon and planned on using a referral code for unlimited Supercharging, that is no longer an option.  Previously, you could still enjoy recharges but in early 2017 that ended for all vehicles except a standard Model 3.

But that now is now over.  Effective on September 16th, you can now only get $100 Supercharging credit via referrals.  That amount will only be good enough for a few fill ups.  Mind you that filling up at the Supercharger is still less than gasoline but free is always better.

So there you have it, as those who held out have officially missed out.  I’m still looking at a Model S or Model 3 for myself but now have to factor in this along w/ how much Tesla charges for repairs – until my finances change.

Thoughts on now having to pay for Supercharging access, referral or nah?
