Here we go again kiddies. Next lesson from the tech guys: Wi–fi.
First off Wi–Fi is short for Wireless Fidelity. Wi–Fi promotes mobility while accessing the internet within a wireless internet access point along with eliminating wiring & cables. Routers incorporates modems & a Wi–Fi access point, set up in homes & offices, provide internet access to all devices (wirelessly or by cable) to them. Wi–Fi Hotspots are wireless internet access points that are offered free of charge by airports, hotels, cafes/coffeeshops, restaurants along with other establishments to attract or assist clients. many routers setup without the security activated, leaves their wireless internet connection open for anyone with a Wi–Fi enabled device, which can actually slow down the speed of your internet connection. In some jurisdictions, doing this is considered illegal (believe it or not as unauthorized access on the user side along with a breach of contract with the internet service provider on the network owner’s side). There are many Wi–Fi enabled devices such as PCs, laptops, gaming consoles, mobile phones, PDAs, printers (standalone & all-in-ones) and soon…HDTVs (sweet).
There you have short, simple & to the point without involving too much.
