How many of us have grown tired of taking notes in class, work, lectures and then get back to study those same notes we wrote and not understand anything. Oh what we would give to remember just half of that 2 hour seminar. The great minds (developers) over at Livescribe have answered all of our prayers. They have come up with a pen that records your notes that you write down and the lecture that you hear in real time. This “smartpen” device then allows you to playback the voice that it has recorded or when attached to the computer it plays back the voice and your notes that you wrote down. This device has a little camera next to the ballpoint of the “smartpen” and a dual microphone that picks up sounds and an audio jack for private listening. So far gone are the days of wishing you were a better listener, with Livescribe pulse smartpen everyone can be a great note taker. This device is currently made as a 1gb unit for $150 and a 2gb unit with a price difference of $50 at Target. The unit can record about 100 times it’s gigabyte (gb) size and that’s hours. It comes with a docking station, software, 3 ink tanks for the pen, a stylus, a college ruled special notebook (yes there is special paper that needs to be used to get the full effect of this product) and a case for your pen. It does allow you to change the color of your ink and different notebooks or journals to use. The wave of the future is here. Use this device and share with the world after all your notes are dowloaded to tour computer where you can then share what you have, voice and data, with other through the internet and your Livescribe account that you get with your purchase.
