Time for more learning, folks. This time shedding the light on Bluetooth.

Bluetooth is a short-range wireless technology used to create a personal area network among your devices and nearby devices (such as mobile phones, telephones, laptops, personal computers, printers, GPS recievers, digital cameras, video game consoles, & select automobiles). Bluetooth allows you to leave your phone in your pocket/holster, while talking on a Bluetooth headset with no wires. You can exchange contact or scheduling info with other Bluetooth-enabled phones nearby or printer all while providing low power, low cost & maintaining high level security.
There are several versions of this technology. The most commonly-used technology is Bluetooth version 2.0. Version 2.0 transfers data@3 megabits per second. This version uses EDR (Enhanced Data Rate for faster data transfer. The range of Bluetooth-equipped mobile devices, which uses class 2 radios, are about 33 feet. A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) is a Bluetooth profile that allows the seamless streaming of quality audio between a music player/smartphone and a wireless device. Pairing your Bluetooth device is simply to create a connection between two Bluetooth-enabled devices.
