Nokia is getting in on the action of the touchscreen wars. A lil late with the news which broke 2 days ago, pardon us. A new device of their powerful N series, they unleash the N97 (as Nokia dubs “the world’s most advanced mobile computer”) @a Nokia conference in Barcelona, Spain. This baby is packed with everything except the kitchen sink. Its specs are as followed: 3G, Wifi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, 3.5 inch touchscreen with a 640 x 360 resolution, QWERTY keyboard, 32GB of onboard memory + micro SD expansion up to 16GB (total of 48GB capacity *not a typo*) , Carl Zeiss 5MP camera w/DVD quality video capture at 30 frames per second. Not to forget a battery capable of up to 1.5 days of straight audio playback and Flash player & Flash support via internet browser. Expect this device to be available sometime during the first half of ’09 for a lil under $700. There’s a video demo of the device further below.
