As one of the last members to join the Open Handset Alliance, AT&T is prepping to pull out their answer to T-Mo’s G1 with their own Android device: the HTC Lancaster. This HTC device styled after the Touch Pro 2, is 3G enabled, packing full QWERTY keyboard w/touchscreen & trackball, assisted GPS, 3MP camera w/auto focus, Bluetooth 2.0, micro SD memory expansion, & a new “HTC social messaging user interface”. The Lancaster has a 6 month exclusivity to AT&T with a suggested release of early August.
