It’s Lesson time again. This time we’ll talk about saving your phone after dropping it in water. First of all turn off your device and remove your battery immediately as well as your SIM card (for GSM phones). With the battery & SIM card removed try to dry everything off as much as possible. A Q-tip can be help with drying the small crevices like battery, SIM card, & memory card connectors. If you have dropped your device in a liquid like coffee or soda, after drying use a Q-tip with alcohol and dry again. Set your device/battery in a dry, warm spot to dry it out for 2-3 days. After such time, put your battery back in and if the previous steps were done correctly you should be back in business with your device back in working order. The key part of saving your device is to make sure all parts are completely dry. So before shelling out that insurance deductable for water damage give this a shot and we wish you the best of luck.
