Birthday sales right from home. HSN is having a birthday sale and I just so happened to be watching. They show cased a few quality items but the this came up, the Pioneer XMP3, and I know this was what I was watching for. The Pioneer XMP3 is a portable satellite radio system that also has an MP3 player built in. While it began at retail price of $299.99 upon it’s first arrival and it is now across the board selling for $149.99 as the lowest price, with a mail in rebate. There are a few others selling this item for $169.99 and also offering a $80 mail in rebate (brings it to $89.99) but who likes to deal with rebates, honestly. Birthday price with HSN is actually at $129.95 which you can break up in 4 easy payments of $32.49. The only other thing is the monthly service of $12.95 (your first month is free). Yeah you can’t beat that. Not only are you getting the home kit attachment but HSN is also giving you the car kit attachments, which retails any where from $49.99 to $69.99, for free. Also I found quite astonishing was the Digital Pen with receiver and software for $79.99. If you remember, and those that don’t, I reported on LiveScribe last year. This was an audio/digital note taking pen. HSN has a digital note recording pen that recognizes hand motion on any surface. Unlike LiveScribe it is used with any surface and note any specialty paper and it does not record any audio. Both come with software for your computer but as a college student or a thrifty shopper thiss device may be a much better buy. Although LiveScribe has it perks, when it comes right down to it the price point will get you every time. Take a look here for more info. Not all handwriting may be recognized, but there is additional software package that can be purchased. I am sure it can’t be any more than $30 to $40. For that price we can all just brush up on our penmanship.
