The Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) has recently approved the Mobile DTV standard here in and we shall finally the states. Mobile DTV has been around for a while overseas and we will finally enjoy those same treats. This standard allows mobile devices like phone, laptops, etc to receive over-the-air digital television that is broadcast by local stations. Devices would require a mobile DTV receiver to tune in. LG & Samsung are already prepping for this as they are already at work on their first mobile DTV receiever chip for phones, PMPs, and car-mounted TVs.
