As of now Google Maps Navigation is readily available on the Android Market for those with devices using Android 1.6 & higher. One of the high points of Android 2.0 ( only on the Moto Droid) was the turn-by-turn, voice guidance with automatic rerouting integrated into Google Maps. This free serevice can be enjoyed by devices like the G1 & MyTouch3G, which seem to get the short end of the Android stick (limited internal memory & horrible battery life). Just look for a newer version of Google Maps (which offers Layers) on the Market, download it, then they’re gonna ask to download a voice app and then you are good to go.
