Today’s lesson is to help keep all of you guys smartphone devices staying in optimal performance. Hopefully everyone knows to clean their browser’s cache, cookies, & history every here and there to keep your device from lagging. The few tips that we’ve found applies to the holy trinity in the smartphone world: iPhone, BlackBerry, and Android devices.

iPhone Tips

To Force Quit An App- Hold the Home button for 6 seconds.

Reset iPhone- Hold both the Home & Sleep buttons for 10 seconds.

Take A Screenshot (This one is for recreational purposes)- Press & hold Home button, then click on the Sleep button on the top of the phone.

BlackBerry Tips

Reboot- Hold ALT+Right SHIFT+DEL till screen goes dark.

To Clear Event Log (Keeps Your BB From Lagging)- Hold ALT & press L,G,L,G. This will bring you to the Event Log screen. Hit Menu and then Clear Log.

Clearing Data Off Of Device(This one is good to know when you sell/giveaway your device)- Go to Options, Security Options, General Settings, then hit Menu and look for Wipe Handheld.
Android Tips (May not work on Droid)

To Reboot- Hold Call+Menu+End buttons until screen goes dark.

Perform A Factory Reset (see Clearing Data Off Of Device for BB above)- Power Off, hold Home & End key for 20 seconds until you see a triangle with an exclamation point & pic of phone, and then press & hold ALT+W and back to factory settings.

Ways To Get The Most Life Out Of Your Android Device- Turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, & GPS when not in use along with lowering the Brightness levels in your Settings. We recommend Advanced Task Killer to kills any processes running in the background unnecessarily instead of waiting for your device to freeze and then prompted with the Force Close option.
